Below is the list of MBA Top 10 XC and EN XC, EN & SD results. You can check back for the posting of all 2005 Cal State Cross-Country, Endurance and Super D champions.

The stage was set for the finals of the California State Series at Snow Summit by the Fall Classic. The perfect, sunny, 70-degree autumn weather could not have been better. Team Big Bear has something for both pros and professionals at this event. They raced the 19-mile loop, which is filled with technical descents and steep fire roads. After passing the Snow Summit finish/start, they set out on a half-lap. The 28-mile course was painful, with 8000 feet of elevation adding to the pain. Endurance riders completed two of the 19-mile loops.

Team Platinum Performance had a successful year, and many of our racers were running for the State Championship title. This race was to decide their fate.

Andy Osburn, a 40-44 sportsman, is a significant story. Andy was diagnosed with cancer last December and has since returned to racing fitness. This season, he not only raced but also won the overall and crushed his field at Fall Classic. Ron Takeda, 40-44 year old sport, was another amazing rider. He broke three bones but still finished 3rd in the series. Our juniors all won their respective overall categories: Shana Martin and Ian Mcfarland, as well as Harrison Davis. Nick Davis won the sport class race for the final race, having already secured the Beginner 40-44 title. There was one more race. Steve Silva finished third in the finals to win the Sport 45-49 championship. To wrap up the Cal State championship, I won my race at Expert 35-39. Platinum Performance finished its first year racing with seven Cal State Championships as well as the Coed Team Championship.

Still, we had our fair share hard luck. John Martin (Sport 40-44) rode in without a tire on the back rim. Semipro Jamie Goldstein had to endure 28 miles of tire nightmares. Both men upheld team honor and made it to the finish.

The Fall Classic saw 22 Platinum riders participate. Platinum Performance, thanks to the efforts of all riders, is the first state team competition winner since Revolution Racing (in early 229 cms).

Platinum Performance would like to thank all of their sponsors: Specialized, Bicycle Bobs and SB Chicken Ranch. Goodman Graphics. Rudy Project. Eye and Vision Care of SB. Jim Adams Chiropractic. Jim Adams Chiropractic. Coast Village PT and Uptime.

The following Platinum riders didn’t make it to the MBA Top 10: Brad Jellison (3rd Beg40-44), Herb Wright (30-34), Luke Werkhoven (4th Clyd), Sam Masson (4-5th Spt 30-34), Sam Masson (5th Expert 35-34)), Ron Takeda (5th SPt 35-39), Ryan Booth (8th SPt 30-34), Nick Davis (8th ST 45-49), Rob Romirez (9th ST 40-44), Rob Romirez (9th Semipro), John Martin (15th St 40-44), John Martin (15th SPT 35-39), John Martin (14th ST 35-39), John Martin (5th spt 40-44), John Goodman 15th spt 45-44), John Goodman 20th ST 45-49), John Goodman (20th spt 45-49), John Martin (15th spt 35-39), John Martin (14th spt 35-39), John Martin (15th spt 40-44), John Goodman (15th spt 40-44), John Goodman
